Basic information about WordPress

WordPress uses .org & .com . Both are same but there a few differences .org , it’s considered a self-hosted platform, which means you’ll need to purchase a separate hosting plan to use it but in the .com version of WordPress is an all-in-one platform with built-in hosting.

Domain

First, you need a domain name (like yourname.com) and web hosting . Many hosting companies(like Bluehost or Hostinger) offer 1-click WordPress installation . Web Hosting is like renting space on the internet where all your website’s files (like text, images, videos) are stored.

Install WordPress & login to dashboard

Most hosting providers allow you to install WordPress with just one click. After installation, you’ll get a login link like:
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin . Use your username and password to log in. You’ll now see the dashboard , your main control panel.

How to make the website

Once you have contacted a Hosting company (I prefer Hostinger ) you will be asked to create a username , password & enter your email address . After installation you will get an email & they will provide you with your you login details and a link like : yourwebsite.com/wp-admin . In WordPress , Go to appearance & then in themes . Choose the design that you like . You can browse & install free or paid themes from WordPress .
